Watershed | An Icelandic Tale

A new hiking adventure, this time Iceland. My friends and I decided to escape from the main tourist road and walk the Laugavegur trail, a 4-day hike from Landmannalaugar to Þórsmörk. During our adventure, we saw smoke rising from the mountains, epic landscapes, wild horses, northern lights and all the seasons in just one day. The palette of colors in Iceland is magical and unlike any country I’ve seen.

In the ‘land of ice and fire’ it was mainly all the water that impressed me the most. Little floating rivers under the pack of ice where we walked, dozens of waterfalls and several rivers to cross. After the hike, we drove along the coastal road, which showed again how Iceland is literally surrounded by water. And so the theme for this video was born.

Poem in the intro is ‘Vatnaskil’ by Magnús Sigurðsson, narrated by Lilja O’Brien
