Treasury furlough scheme extended after new England lockdown – BBC News

The Treasury’s furlough scheme, which has subsidised the wages of up to nine and a half million employees, was due to end in October.

Now it’s been extended across the UK for another month, after the Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced a new lockdown in England.
