Alison Chan is a self-taught cake decorator who launched her business, Dear Harley Confectionery and Design, last year. She and her business partner, Cony Lam, customize cakes to look like shoes, handbags, sponges, and more. They bake the cakes themselves and then add colors and textures by incorporating fondant and frosting.
