If you thought your in-laws were terrible, wait until you meet the Le Domas family. “Ready or Not” stars Samara Weaving as Grace, the unsuspecting new bride of Alex (Mark O’Brien), the young heir to a massive board game empire. After the couple are married on his family’s sprawling estate, Grace is obliged to adhere to an age-old family tradition that finds her playing the deadliest game of Hide and Seek ever. The film is a raucous thriller that’s sure to appeal to genre fans, and ahead of its release, RT editor Jacqueline Coley sat down with Weaving, O’Brien, and co-star Andie MacDowell to talk about the movie, how they might “horror-ize” other popular children’s games, and what their own worst wedding-related experiences were. They also described how they killed time on set, and Samara Weaving confirms that the day she spent drenched in fake blood was actually delicious.
