How to make moist pineapple upside down cake from scratch
Pineapple upside down cake recipe
In a bowl combine 1-1/2 cups of all purpose flour, 1 cup of sugar, 2 tsp of baking powder, 1/4 tsp of salt, 1/4 tsp of cinnamon and 1/4 tsp of nutmeg
Stir in well
Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees
Add 1 stick of butter and blend with a hand mixer on low speed until your left with big crumbs
Add 2 eggs and blend well
Add 1/2 cup of buttermilk, 2 tsp of vanilla extract, and 1/4 cup of pineapple juice
Blend well again
Place 1/2 stick of butter and 1 cup of brown sugar in baking pan
Place in oven for 10 minutes
Once melted add pineapples and cherries
Poor cake mix into pan and bake fro 40 minutes
Once done place a plate over baking pan and flip over
Let the cake sit for 1 hour than place in a refrigerator
