Variety can exclusively report that Michael B. Jordan met with Warner Bros. to pitch a Superman movie for DC Comics, but a new version of the Man of Steel reportedly won’t launch until 2023. After the success of “Joker,” Warner Bros. is also expected to lean into the darker, R-rated tone, and “Birds of Prey” and “The Suicide Squad” are likely to be rated R.
