Jakarta is the capital and largest city of Indonesia. Jakarta is an enormously big city and predicted to reach 35.6 million people by 2030 to become the world’s biggest megacity.
Maybe for that reason it’s not very popular among tourists and most people use it just as a hub to reach any of the island. But maybe exactly for this reason I really enjoyed the city.
Once you get used to the messy traffic and the sheer size of this place its actually an interesting city. I really enjoyed my time there and got to meet many incredibly nice locals.
