Well it’s finally that time of year where the ENSO and PDO start to take shape, and this is the very early time of year where we can make some early predictions based on these very long range oscillations.
The biggest story heading towards the colder months of the year is going to be if we will see a La Nina or La Nada, there would be massive differences in winter conditions based on which one of those phases we’re in.
If we’re in a La Nina you can expect colder conditions for the upper midwest and great lakes, with warmer and more dry conditions for the southeast and east coast.
If we’re in a La Nada you can expect cold and snowy conditions throughout the Northeast and East coast as a whole, with more dry conditions for the midwest and great lakes.
